Title - Control System Design EngineerLocation - BristolLength - 6 monthsRate - £43-46 per hourWe have a requirement for an Controls System Design Engineer to provide control and systems engineering services to support design for a specific project within the engineering industry.The systems consist of MV generators, switchgear, subsea cables and connectors, power converters, a wide range of instrumentation and monitoring systems, actuators and drives, PLC control systems and plant SCADA systems.You will support systems, from detailed design through to FAT, commissioning and in-service support.Key Services Experience with Beckhoff Twincat is a must.Deliver a structured suite of documentation to capture the control system design.Plan the scope of all documents and write the high-level documentation, such as Basis of Design and Concept of Operations.Support relevant domain experts to deliver the remaining documentation, such as Functional Design Descriptions and Software Design Descriptions.Manage the product technical requirements and acceptance matrix.Lead the development of system FMEAs and their use in influencing control system design.Manage the continued development of turbine control system algorithms including dynamic modelling using Matlab and Simulink.Identify and apply relevant regulations, standards and industry practices. .Experience in delivering engineering services throughout the project lifecycle; design, build, FAT, installation, commissioning and in-service.If you're interested please apply.
