Senior .NET Developer - Edinburgh - (£50,000 - £70,000)Senior Developer needed by a leading European FinTech with an award-winning set of technology. Their ground-breaking investment management platform offers asset and wealth managers a comprehensive solution across their standard workflows. The organisation in question are based in Edinburgh and they are keen to recruit experienced Senior Software Developers, ideally with a good understanding of the Microsoft Stack. The roles are 'full stack' and they are keen to speak to applicants with a background in Microsoft .NET technologies. You'll be working on cutting edge projects, primarily enterprise in scale and focused around emerging markets such as Big Data, Cloud and AI. As a Senior Software Developer, you'll be expected to work across the full Software Development Lifecycle, working with both internal and external teams. As an organisation, they are heavily Agile and your role will see you adopting a range of Agile methodologies as well as modern software development processes including CI/CD, DevOps and Test Driven Development (TDD). Agile experience is specifically important. In terms of the specific candidate requirements, rather than simply regurgitating the job description, I wanted to highlight a few key areas below:Tech Stack - You must possess an excellent knowledge of .NET. Their current platform is front-to-back .Net. WPF/WinForms on the UI, C# on the server, an F# data model and a SQL Server DB. Please note: You don't need to have used all these technologies before, with a firm grasp of C# the rest can be learned. The company also has plans for the future platform (which is under active development). New UI components are being built in React, the server (whilst still C# and F#) is now a microservices architecture which targets .NET Core and runs in the cloud on Linux machines. Moving to the cloud brings a raft of other technologies into play: Go, Kubernetes, Docker, Kong, NSQ to name the main ones. In return, you will benefit from an above market-rate salary (£50,000 - £70,000), varied benefits package and the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies in an Agile environment, Home working (Up to 3 days a week), Flexible hours. Moreover, you will be given a tailored 'T-shaped' progression route, with opportunities to move into Project Management, Development Management and Software Architecture later on down the line.If you are keen to learn a bit more about this specific opportunity then I would be happy to set up a follow up chat - I can be contacted by the following means:Mobile: 07720296628Office Line: 0191 338 7572Email: [email protected]LinkedIn: 'Joe Ezzard'Anything discussed will remain completely confidential and fully compliant with GDPR.
