Network Engineer sought to join a leading and rapidly expanding elite Hedge Fund based in a top West End location. Our client is a major Hedge Fund who have consistently been one of the best performing funds since their launch only a few years ago. Now 100+ people strong, they are looking to expand their 5-person Infrastructure team by hiring mid-level Network Engineer, with Cisco, Firewalls, design and implementation and Wintel experience, plus a Security-focused mindset. We are looking for someone with a strong desire to learn and get involved in all other areas of Technology, while continuously improving Network Security. It anticipated that this role will be around 80/20 Networks versus Wintel focus and a 50/50 split between engineering/project activity and administration/support. RequirementsCisco LAN/WAN, routing & switchingFirewalls, ideally Palo AltoDesign and implementation experience and a security focused mindsetCisco VOIP Call Manager Presence and CollaborationTCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SMTP, SSLActive Directory, Office365, Windows 10 and Windows ServerA positive, pro-active approach, with the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects1:1 or 2:1 Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent)BBB or better at A-level (or international equivalent)Mid-level hire requiring 4-8 years' experience Desirable skillsMonitoring systems - e.g. SolarwindsExperience with automation toolsDatacentre operations and infrastructure experienceVMWare, Load balancersAn interest in Audio Visual solutions This is an outstanding opportunity to join a world-leading Hedge Fund in a highly-varied Network Engineer role.
