This is a superb opportunity for a DevOps with Containerisation (Kubernetes preferably) and Linux  to join a thriving e-commerce business with offices in Bath, Mainland Europe, Australia and the US. They are looking for a well rounded for a Devops engineer with a Linux systems Administration background with good experience of the set up, systems administration and support of high capacity, 24/7 Linux Servers and DevOps tooling in their a rapidly growing and successful e-commerce business. There is a mix of Linux and Windows servers (primarily Linux) and you must be prepared to get your hands dirty in either environment. You will be involved with servers, storage, security deploying services to the cloud so there is a great deal to keep you busy and to extend your knowledge and experience. You will also be involved with the progression of the DevOps environment which includes Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes and Puppet, in a mixed cloud environment (AWS, Azure and Google Cloud) so experience with any of these and enthusiasm to learn them would be great.

 

Specific experience with Puppet/Ansible, Kubernetes, Tomcat and Jenkins would be very useful as you will work on Build Management, Release Management and Configuration Management as well as Continuous Integration and Automating Unit-Testing and other functions using Shell scripts and tools.

This isn't a silo'd DevOps role, this is a role for someone who will drive the shape of the development environment and work as part of an integrated IT team that shares ideas and works collaboratively.
