QA Tester

One of our midlands based gaming clients is seeking a QA Tester to join their team. You will be responsible for manual QA Lead testing games on a PC platform. You will drive their onsite PC Compliance, ensuring the PC titles more successfully meet and surpass the necessary guidelines and requirements, retaining compatibility with a range of current PC hardware.

QA Tester duties will include, but not limited to:

*Leading the QA function, testing on the PC Platform

*Develop and promote the PC Compliance teams working practices and approaches

*Preparing, developing and implementing PC specific test plans to ensure the gaming titles meet the agreed requirements on appropriate PC hardware

*Communicating relevant hardware developments, trends and advancements relating to PC gaming within the PC market

*Advise on minimum and recommended PC specifications and requirements for PC gaming titles, ensuring to keep the gameplay at the heart of the testing

*Work closely with the development team to ensure the capability of the games are met

*Report and communicate PC compliance to senior management within the business

As the QA Tester, you will be required to possess:

*Minimum of 18 months experience working in a QA or compatibility/compliance department within the gaming industry

*A full understanding of PC hardware and PC architecture

*Strong experience with PC builds

*Experience of the SDLC, including Quality Assurance Systems and QA Processes

*Strong database skills

*Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

*A passion for gaming and PC
