Information Security Officer

Information Security Officer / Security Management / Security Frameworks / Security Strategy

My well recognised, market leading client is looking for an experienced Information Security Officer to work alongside their Global Security and IT teams. The role will be based at Head Office in Leamington Spa.

The Information Security Officer will lead and co-ordinate the information security requirements and tasks within the business, to drive continual improvement and maturity within the business so that the business goals for information security are achieved. You will be responsible for the strategy, design, implementation and operation of security frameworks.

Responsibilities:

*Setting the strategy and roadmap for security.

*Implement monitor and improve the company's specific security program.

*Implementation and alignment of business needs and risks to the control framework.

*Providing strategic security insights and identify and communicate information security pain points, desirable behaviours and changes to stakeholders.

*Management of the security requirements on all IT projects and programmes and identify, deploy and manage projects and solutions in pursuit of information security objectives.

*Participate and contribute to the companywide information security community.

*Manage and ensure effective information security operations within the company.

*Monitor and report on security performance to the management team

*Participate in the Change Management CAB and PMO Change Panel process advising on solutions and communicating timeframes and priorities.

*Manage third party service providers to agreed/contracted performance levels.

*Manage the security elements of internal and external IT audits.

*Establish an effective, specific Information Security Awareness Program.

*Manage and communicate security alerts and incidents.

Skills and Experience required:

*Proven ability to think strategically and to influence senior stakeholders around the IT agenda.

*Proven knowledge of and experience with information security and a wide knowledge of information security technologies.

*Experience of sourcing, selecting, contracting and managing third party suppliers of security services.

*Experience of effectively managing projects, change, problem and incidents.

*Experience of securing cloud hosting and 'software as a service' solutions.

*Experience of implementing security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, PCI / DSS

*Effective time manager, be able to prioritise, meet deadlines and act upon own initiative.

*Excellent organisational skills, independent, resourceful and creative.

*Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within a company and with external organisations such as suppliers, user groups.
