**ALL CANDIDATES MUST HOLD, OR BE ABLE TO GAIN, UK GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE** Minimum SC, preferable DV 2- year contract with possiblity of extension JOB DESCRIPTION Our customer is looking for a gifted Technical Architect to enhance their ever-growing team of consultants. Main Responsibilities:Generate conceptual, logical and physical architecture documents; Work as part of a cross functional team with a broad range of skills; Contribute to estimation and risk assessments; Provide technical leadership and oversight during change proposal assessments; Complete responsibility for technical input to business approval meetings; Shapes technical proposals to be commercially acceptable; Interact with other Architect and programme disciplines during delivery to ensure architectural conformance to process model and standards; Manage 3rd parties and their deliverables; Work with customers to understand their business strategy and develop IT strategies and architecture for significant areas of their business; Advise the Project Team on all technical issues and solutions; Conducts assurance activities of the deliverables; Assist in user acceptance testing and technical transfers; Liaise with gateway dependencies for electronic messaging changes and GAL replication issues (EMS/DNOC/BARA); Liaise with the interoperability stakeholders for technical resolution to connectivity and services issues; Any other duties as required. Role Education and Experience Requirements The Consultant is required to have suitable experience to undertake tasks for a client in a number of specialist areas. Demonstrated evidence is required in the key areas of management expertise. At this level, a successful candidate must be able to and be comfortable with working and communicating at all levels within the client organisations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: *Holds a degree in a relevant subject such as computer sciences or computer engineering; *Experience with technologies such as, but not limited to: ? Java/J2EE; ? SQL; ? SAP; ? Oracle; *Experience working in an agile/scrum development team and use of an agile work management platform such as but not limited to: ? Jira; ? Team Foundation Server; ? Azure Dev Ops; ? AWS; ? Private Clouds; *Experience with cloud hosting platforms such as Azure; *Experience with PaaS and SaaS solutions; *Experience in interoperability gateways; *Experience in interoperability services such as email, Chat, secure voice, VTC, LFT and FMV; **Experience within the Defence Industry is highly desirable** You should be able to demonstrate a number of personal attributes including: *Leadership and mentoring; *Excellent organisational skills, energy and enthusiasm; *Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of staff and customers; *Good business awareness and a high level of customer focus; *Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; *Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritises accordingly; *Self-motivated; *Desire for learning and self-improvement; *Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on new tasks where less knowledge or experience is held; *Has a lively sense of humour, wanting/desiring to be part of a company that encourages a relaxed, but professional, approach to business.
