3rd Line Lead Engineer / Lead Engineer / Lead Infrastructure Engineer

West Midlands

£40000 - £50000 per annum

We are currently looking for a Lead 3rd Line Engineer to come and provide the most senior level of technical leadership and subject matter expertise within the Infrastructure team for a growing yet establish client in the West Midlands. This Lead 3rd Line Engineer will be responsible for the mentoring, guiding and coaching of other team members to develop comprehensive and relevant skills within the team and will contribute to the development of processes. The Lead Engineer will have ownership of operational improvement plans for the Infrastructure team area, ensuring appropriate and successful implementation

Required skills for the Lead Engineer:

* Strong experience in multiple technology disciplines from junior to senior levels

* Ability to drive change and influence through building strong relationships and having a solid commercial awareness.

* Strong ITIL and Prince2 knowledge is key

* Experience working at all levels with a broad range of virtualisation, storage, Cloud and Iaas technologies and platforms

* Good analytical skills and previous exposure to medium and large change programme

* Strong team and people management skills, including the ability to provide constructive challenge in face to face environment.
