IT Systems Administrator

IT Systems Administrator / IT Support / Windows / Active Directory / Networking / Tamworth

My client, who are a known and very well established local business, is looking for a passionate IT Systems Administrator to join their IT team at their head offices in Tamworth, Staffordshire.

About the role:

This is an exciting, varied and fast-paced role. You will install, upgrade and monitor software and hardware. You will be also responsible for back up, asset management, recovery and maintain essential operating systems, business applications, security tools, web-servers, emails, PCs, local and wide area networking along with the Senior IT System Administrator.

Working with 1st/2nd line support, you will be responsible for incoming support tickets, resolving issues and escalating as necessary. There will be a mix of remote/telephone along with onsite visits at 50+ sites throughout the UK, as well as working on ongoing and new projects.

Skills required:

*Support, excellent communication and problem-solving in a helpdesk environment.

*Microsoft Windows operating server and system support and troubleshooting.

*Business applications support such as Microsoft Office 365, Sage, etc.

*Active Directory administration.

*Intermediate Networking knowledge

I am looking for someone who is self-motivated, conscientious and proactive. You will have the ability to work well in a team whilst under pressure and have excellent communication skills. There will be ample opportunity to learn new skills within the role, and applicants must be willing to learn and take on new challenges.

The role requires you to have a full driving license and access to a vehicle as some travel to remote sites is required. The role will involve physical moving of IT equipment and cabling work.

In exchange for your skills and experience, my client is looking to pay a salary in the region of £23,000 - £25,000 plus some great company benefits.
