Database Developer / DBA (PostgreSQL Linux Python). Would you like to work on complex, technically challenging systems whilst working in a "non-corporate" environment with a friendly team of highly skilled professionals that enjoy what they do?
Technology driven Hedge Fund with multi-billion dollars under management is seeking a Database Developer / DBA to be responsible for supporting all aspects of the PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Cassandra and future database platforms. You'll be working closely with other teams across the business to develop Infrastructure as Code and Continuous Integration solutions with automation and scripting whilst also implementing technologies that will enable the team to transition to a Database as a Service model.
Based in central London, you'll be joining a collaborative team within a relaxed and positive work environment where you can enjoy regular social events, such as weekends away.
Requirements:
Strong experience as a Database Administrator
Indepth knowledge of PostgreSQL
Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Ansible)
Automation experience
Working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and tooling (Terraform, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, Bamboo)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desirable: Kafka, Cassandra, Kubernetes, AWS, Linux
