IT Project ManagerWe are working closely with one of our newest client's who are looking for an experienced and talented individual to join their fantastic team.  The role itself is for an experienced IT Project Manager who is looking for a brand new challenge and the opportunity to create a long lasting career path.Job purpose:                                                     To deliver projects (which will include a significant proportion of IT/technical projects), ensuring that there is strong governance through all stages and that the identified outcomes and benefits are realized with the resources agreed                                                     To support the corporate portfolio through the delivery of projects (with an emphasis on IT/technical projects), sub-projects and elements that make up part of the wider programmes                                                     To assist the business and IT department in raising project performance by recommending and implementing good practices.Key Accountabilities:                                                    Manage the successful delivery of projects (which will include a significant proportion of IT/technical projects), from inception to realisation of outcomes and benefits                                                     Create and maintain project plans and supporting documentation, creating activity and task plans, estimating time requirements, establishing deadlines and scope, identifying resource requirements, monitoring milestone completion and tracking all phases of the project lifecycle                                                     Plan and chair regular project board and working group meetings, including agendas and minutes, to ensure all parties are engaged                                                     Provide timely reporting of progress, highlighting activities complete and planned, and revised plans to complete the project                                                     Manage and mitigate risks and issues that impact project progress and outcome delivery, resolving conflicts where possible                                                     Work with colleagues across the business and within IT to ensure resource requirements are identified and met, changes are thoroughly tested, implementation plans are agreed, solutions are signed off and new services are successfully transitioned to live                                                     Work with stakeholders to fully understand their business plans, objectives and drivers and identify where systems and technology can help them improve their services.                                                      Work with stakeholders to develop their business cases and gain approval for the project to proceed, being accountable for the quality, validity and relevance of the business case.  Knowledge:                                                    Relevant professional qualifications in project management - e.g. PRINCEII, PMP, MSP (E)                                                   Advanced skills in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio and Word. (P)Experience:                                                     Experience of project management and reporting requirements. (E)                                                   Experience of working with a range of stakeholders and specialist professionals. (E)                                                   Experience of successful implementation of change management and organisational change. (P)                                                   A proven track record in managerial/consultancy work, with senior level experience. (P)                                                   Experience in financial, contract and risk management. (P)                                                   Experience in housing and property management (P) Skills:                                                    Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and work calmly and confidently under pressure.  (E)                                                   Strong communications at all levels (E)                                                    Pragmatic, solution focused approach to work. (E)                                                   Project management skills- producing project plans, managing budget, managing risks, issues, dependencies and change. (E)                                                   Ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the often disparate members of the project teams. (E)                                                   Excellent preparation & presentation skills for internal and external audiences.
