Currently hiring for a Senior Data Engineer/Technical Designer for our leading oil & gas client to be based in Central London for a contract basisSeeking a talented and experienced individual to fulfil a role within the Data Platform team that is designing and directing the build of a Microsoft Azure based data platform.The platform is a base for the delivery of data and analytics solutions for a variety of workstreams. The critical focus for the role is extracting, transforming and loading data from the trading ETRM system into a solution that can run calculations, display data visually and provide drill-down capability for users. Key Skills and Experience: Essential:Knowledge and experience of designing, building & operating Microsoft Azure data solutions; Data Lake, Data Factory, FunctionsAbility to work with the business and solution architects to translate requirements into technical designsVSTS/Azure DevOps experience for repository, build/deploy pipelines and work item managementUnderstands technical best practices for solution delivery including effective testing approachesDesired:Building scalable analytic and transformation processes with Spark/DataBricksExperience with ETRM systems and data modelsData visualisation tools and technologies If interested please do apply with updated CVMichael Bailey International is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
