Responsible for delivery of key infrastructure projects that are supporting and maintaining the company's IT systems Infrastructure.Client DetailsIndustry-leading engineering and transport company which is experience huge amounts of organisational change and digital transformation.DescriptionThe Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will manage end to end delivery of key strategies, business cases and project plans that supports all COs and BAU initiatives and acts as a secondary support to 2nd and 3rd line Engineers and Technicians. This position is critical to ensuring we provide the levels of IT service to all staff so they can perform their daily jobs using company IT equipment (PCs, laptops, mobile devices, systems, applications) and ensuring robust Network and Data Storage and suppliers in place. Profile

Qualified/Experience in either: AGILE, ITILV3, TOGAF, CCNA, CCNP

Aware of ISO standards 27001, 27701, audit & compliance standards, GDPR and security protocols

Proven delivery of complex technical change (2000+ employees) in UK wide digital transformation projects covering office relocations, WAN, LAN, Smart Mobile Devices, AD, Networks, Big Data, BI (analytics) software development, DCI

Expertise in Network Infrastructure Delivery particularly in complex environments on premises, cloud and 3rd party suppliers

Proven experience of delivering IT change in a complex business environment.

Good general knowledge of the Railway or similar transport industry.

Demonstrable experience of developing cogent and compelling business cases and budgets.

Strong service orientation, with a flexible can-do approach.

A self-starter, with the ability to operate within a lean HQ environment, with the ability to switch between strategic and operational activities

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills as well as being able to communicate at all levels within a large complex environment.

Communicating with business colleagues in a language style they are comfortable with avoiding unfamiliar terms and reference

General understanding of the basics Project Finance including ability to forecast effectively, manage change requests and ensure that suppliers are paid promptly and in accordance with financial procedure.

IT background with knowledge / experience working in an environment with Windows server/desktop, VMWare, Citrix, smartphones / tablets, MDM's with good understanding of core concepts for each.

An understanding of CCNA/CCNP routing and switching though experience or qualification.

Strategically minded who can look at innovative ideas and services across a holistic architecture, devising hosting models, SAAS, cloud based, Digital 1st approach.Job Offer2 Year Fixed Term Contract
