QA Test Engineer / Software Tester (Java Automation Testing). Do you enjoy breaking things / taking things apart to see how they work and putting them back together? As a QA Test Engineer you will focus on writing Automation Test Scripts in Java to test complex real-time backend trading systems that are built with Java, Spring and RESTful APIs. Taking ownership within an Agile development team you will evaluate the current testing tools and capabilities and make recommendations for improvements to them and the overall software release cycle. Working with the Three Amigos approach you will liaise closely with Business Analysts to understand requirements and build automation test scripts from scratch.

You'll be based in modern, open plan offices with all the latest kit; a well stocked kitchen / break out area and a highly motivated team atmosphere with flexible working opportunities.

Requirements:

Strong software testing skills with experience of building automated tests from scratch

Java coding skills

Good knowledge of automated test tools (they're currently using Mockito)

Experience of testing complex backend systems based on Java JVM technologies

Collaborative and pragmatic, able to drive through improvements to testing processes
