Application Support Analyst

My nationally recognised client is looking for a passionate and experienced Application Support Analyst to join their Software Development Team at their head office in Lichfield, Staffordshire.

The Application Support Analyst will work within a small team of Support Analyst and Developers responsible for supporting the portfolio of third party and in-house applications. This is to include all new support requirements and releases, either as part of a project, or small enhancements to systems as necessary.

This role will initially be a 3 month FTC but is likely to extend beyond that.

Key Responsibilities:

*Support the business' software applications.

*Ensure consistent and professional delivery of support requests.

*Where appropriate liaise with third parties.

*Form part of project teams for the delivery of specific support projects.

*Ensure rigorous testing regimes are conducted.

*Liaise with Applications Management Lead to ensure testing and implementation take place with the businesses full co-operation.

*Adhere to change management controls.

*Ensure compliance with IT governance standards, change management and security policy and procedures.

*Support the delivery of the IT strategy.

*Undertake any other ad hoc duties or projects as requested.

Key Skills and Experience required:

*Experience working in similar Application Support or Support Developer role.

*Experience of operational supplier management.

*Logical thinker with excellent problem solving skills

*Able to communicate effectively and engage with stakeholders

*Be detail orientated.

*Preferably educated to degree standard or similar, or can demonstrate relevant practical experience and knowledge in an IT environment.

*Working knowledge of ITIL problem, change and release control procedures

*Ideally have knowledge of core development including ASP.net and SQL.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well known and well established client during an exciting period of change. The salary is paying £30,000-£33,000 (pro rata) plus some great benefits.
