Job Role: - Linux Administrator

Salary: - £20,000 - £25,000 (dependent on experience)

Location: - Newcastle area

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated individual to join an Award Winning company within the Newcastle area.

The purpose of the role: - To help maintain and operate high quality software. The ideal candidate is to be encouraged to take ownership of their workload, be proactive and work both individually and as a team in an effective manner.

Skills and Responsibilities of the Position:

Functioning with Linux and various flavours to deliver and control live environments.

*AWS Services.

Monitoring infrastructure and application using functions like opensource and enterprise tools, proposing improvements where possible.

*Overlooking and managing multiple support incidents and operational assignments.

Maintaining application traceability working with log management tools.

Desirable / Look what you could be working with:

*Knowledge of working with open source languages such as PHP, JavaScript.

*Continuous integration using tools like Bitbucket Pipelines / Gitlab CI.
