EDI Middleware ConsultantOur client, a true market leader who have experienced genuine growth in recent times, is looking for an experienced EDI Middleware Consultant, with strong knowledge of XML to join their team based in Reading, on a permanent basis. The EDI Middleware Consultant will support the system requirements of the third party logistics offering. This will include trouble shooting connectivity and data exchange issues with our partners, supporting our internal sales teams and configuration when on-boarding new partners.The EDI Middleware Consultant will also work on the continual development of our clients' in-house EDI platform, including on-going maintenance and enhancements to existing code as well as new projects that will require development and coding from scratch.EDI Middleware Consultant - Key Skills:

'€¢Experience in using a PC with Windows based applications essential'€¢Experience in EDI Middleware'€¢Experience in XML'€¢Experience in PHP and SQL highly desirable'€¢Knowledge of XSLT, WSDLs, of FTP, HTTP and AS2 beneficial but not essential'€¢Experience of ERP would be beneficial, but is not essential (Infor SCE, Manhattan, SAP)'€¢Analytical thinking'€¢Flexible approach'€¢Consistently produces accurate work'€¢Self-motivated, pro-active and ability to manage own workload'€¢Able to use own initiative'€¢Excellent verbal and written communication skills'€¢Customer service focused

EDI Middleware Consultant - Responsibilities:

'€¢Working with the WMS Analyst and Administrators to understand system requirements for Third Party Logistics functionality'€¢Monitoring of EDI platform and communication applications'€¢Providing support to sales teams and trading partners'€¢Perform configuration and mapping for on-boarding new partners'€¢On-gong maintenance of existing code'€¢Development and coding for new EDI projects'€¢Liaise with related application owners within the Group IT function
