The position of Senior Systems Administrator is a technical role within the IT Operations and Support Team.The individual will be part of an Infrastructure team which is accountable for the successful delivery of high availability infrastructure services for Internal and External customers. Working within a wider team of specialists in the Infrastructure & Networks team, the individual will work closely with the technical and leadership teams in order to deliver and support infrastructure solutions that meet customer needs.The Senior Systems Administrator role will be responsible for the delivery of a stable, scalable and supported infrastructure platform to internal and external customers.Specific responsibilities include:

'€¢To contribute to a strategic vision for infrastructure as the organisation moves from traditional on-premise solutions to a hybrid cloud landscape.'€¢Maintain a performance dashboard that helps ensure infrastructure supply meets demand as well as ensuring SLA's are adhered to.'€¢Work with chosen partners to design, deliver and support a modern infrastructure platform to the organisation, with focus on confidentiality, availability and integrity of data assets.'€¢Continues to develop & improve the infrastructure platform by identifying areas for improvements to confidentiality, availability, integrity and efficiency of services

This is a key technical role that requires analytical problem-solving skills and the ability, at times, to work under pressure.The individual will accept that, due to the nature of the role and the work involved, flexible working is required as we operate a 7am - 7pm cover with an average of 7.5 hours worked between these times.  Knowledge & Experience

'€¢3 Years+ in a 3^rd line position supporting Windows Server System'€¢Good understanding of Microsoft products and Active Directory technologies.'€¢Microsoft SCOM Administration'€¢Microsoft SCCM Administration'€¢VMWare 6+ Administration'€¢Understanding and configuration of WAN and VPN technologies'€¢Understanding and configuration of basic Network and Telephony Principles'€¢Good scripting skills.'€¢VMWare Build and Management'€¢Linux experience'€¢Office 365 / Azure technologies.

 Must Haves

'€¢Full UK Driving licence is and access to car for business use is preferred'€¢LAN Solution Improvement Design'€¢Technical problem solving'€¢Ability to diagnose complex infrastructure problems'€¢Ability to compile comprehensive technical and user documentation for distribution to internal and external parties.'€¢Ability to create technical solution design documents for distribution to internal and external parties.
