Exciting opportunity has arisen to join a busy company based in London.

The role:

User Management

Maintain systems at all times to at least current state of user functionality including:

  • Technical support via Helpdesk
  • Answer incoming calls, clearing/action voicemail messages
  • Respond to all helpdesk related queries, logging them, problem solving, and escalation as required
  • Undertake group and user account maintenance and administration
  • Liaise with 3rd party ICT partners and include appropriate information for escalation to resolve problems
  • Provide crucial communication pathways between staff and engineers, ensuring jobs are completed to satisfaction and in a timely manner
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and satisfaction.

User Support

Ensures a well maintained Desktop environment minimising downtime including:

  • Microsoft Operating System, Apple Mac O/S
  • Productivity applications such as Office 365, Policyholder System CRM, Office plug-ins, internet browsers
  • Patching and upgrades

Ensure good connectivity for people and devices including

  • Desk phones and soft phones, Avaya IP Office, SIP connections
  • Mobile phones and mobile broadband, Android, iPhones, Dongles
  • Direct Access, client VPN and remote broadband configuration

Infrastructure Support

  • Engineering of related solutions for various project and operational needs.
  • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Install and configure systems such as support applications or Asset Management applications.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards.
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate sites, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media restoration is tested adequately.
