The role:User Management Maintain systems at all times to at least current state of user functionality including:Technical support via HelpdeskAnswer incoming calls, clearing/action voicemail messagesRespond to all helpdesk related queries, logging them, problem solving, and escalation as requiredUndertake group and user account maintenance and administrationLiaise with 3rd party ICT partners and include appropriate information for escalation to resolve problemsProvide crucial communication pathways between staff and engineers, ensuring jobs are completed to satisfaction and in a timely mannerDeliver a high level of customer service and satisfaction.User SupportEnsures a well maintained Desktop environment minimising downtime including:Microsoft Operating System, Apple Mac O/SProductivity applications such as Office 365, Policyholder System CRM, Office plug-ins, internet browsersPatching and upgradesEnsure good connectivity for people and devices includingDesk phones and soft phones, Avaya IP Office, SIP connectionsMobile phones and mobile broadband, Android, iPhones, DonglesDirect Access, client VPN and remote broadband configurationInfrastructure SupportEngineering of related solutions for various project and operational needs.Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.Install and configure systems such as support applications or Asset Management applications.Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.Contribute to and maintain system standards.Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate sites, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media restoration is tested adequately.
