CAD / Solidworks TechnicianCambridge9 Months (possibility of extension)Hourly Rate Up To £20My client is seeking an experienced CAD Technician with a strong background in Solidworks to be based in Cambridge. The successful candidate will work with a global science and technology innovator committed to helping customers solve complex challenges and improving quality of life around the world. As a CAD Technician you will work on a rebranding project for a multi-billion pound Life Sciences brand. CAD Engineer Responsibilities:Edit drawing templatesCreate new drawing templates with the new logo and company nameEdit drawings of parts and assemblies that display the logo or company nameEdit drawings of labels that contain the logo or company nameUpdate of 3D models that display the logo or companyEdit specification documents to implement templates containing the new company logo and fontPrepare documentation package for change request submittalAssist in the release and implementation of change requests and change orders CAD Engineer Criteria:Good working knowledge of drafting practices and standardsUse of 3D CAD modelling software (SolidWorks essential)Background in the execution of Engineering Change Order (ECO) processesExperience with PLM or PDM systems a plusFluent in the use of Microsoft Office products (such as Word and Excel) Please apply with your CV in the first instance.
