Joining the IT function the Business Analyst will specify and document requirements and validate design solution.Also to assist with the testing of new and amended systems and processes. Client DetailsAn IT Business Analyst required for this trading institution in the City of London.DescriptionAnalysis of regulatory requirements Working with pre and post trade business and IT stakeholders to understand, analyse, and document the impact of wider business requirementsActing as the interface between the business teams and IT teams / third party software providers. Working closely with third party software providers / Systems Analysts, Developers and Testers to ensure that business requirements are understood Defining functional and non-functional requirements for internally developed systems and/or reviewing requirements from third party suppliers. Responsible for validating that system design meets the business requirements, and if applicable proposing alternative solutions. Understanding the operational impact of proposed design solutions.Financial services ProfileA minimum of five years' experience as a Business Analyst within an IT department Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a large scale technology implementation programme Previous experience working with a variety of business stakeholders to produce detailed requirements documents Experience of delivering a project within a dynamic environment and a challenging timescale. Exposure to agile software development, the V Model and Waterfall methodologies Experience working in a Clearing House, Exchange, Member Firm or ETD department within a bank Knowledge and experience of different business analysis tools and techniques, such as business process modelling or UML.
