About The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Risk Data Engineer to join the Credit Risk team to design, develop and document the Society's Credit Risk Data Warehouse and Modelling & Analytics System.You'll provide expert knowledge and experience to translate business requirements into documented ETL routines, supporting long-term solutions for the Society's Credit Risk Data Warehouse and Modeling & Analytics System.
You'll be expected toanalyse data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions alongside recommending opportunities for reuse within existing data models. You'll have : Experience of working with a modern SAS tool set (SAS DI Studio experience is preferred). Working within a Credit Risk environment, preferably within Financial Services and with a good working knowledge of Retail Mortgages would also be preferred, as would demonstrable knowledge of the data and terminology used in credit risk analysis and modelling. Excellent programming ability is required; candidates may have experience with SAS or SQL coding, in particular in the development and maintenance of data warehouses. Any Python experience would be beneficial. The ability to communicate concisely and effectively is essential, as is a positive attitude towards co-operation and teamwork. You must be able to build and maintain internal and external relationships at all levels. You must be able to engage, influence and support at all levels and will be a strong communicator. You'll be highly organised, efficient in your work and able to work with large amounts of technical and regulatory information. You'll take responsibility for the work assigned and deliver to agreed quality and timescales. The SAS system is deployed in a Linux environment so experience of working with this operating system would also be beneficial.
