Our client, a leading outsourcing provider require an experienced Scala Developer for an initial 3 month contract based in Glasgow.Suitable candidates will have the following skills and experience:Extensive Experience in Hadoop technologies such as SCALA and SparkExtensive Experience in Scala and Java programming.Extensive Experience in Kafka and Spark streaming.Experience in Cloudera or HortonWorks distribution.Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.Strong experience in UNIX Bash and Shell scripting.Experience in delivering projects through Agile methodologies.Strong problem solving, analytical and technical design documentations skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Must be independent and creative in approach to problems and issues; assertive, tenacious, proactive.
