This project will push the boundaries of innovation, technology, and the ingenuity of our engineering community to bring about a step change in performance and capability of our airborne electronic systems.Responsibilities
Utilise specialist MBSE knowledge to develop, employ and communicate MBSE methodology and toolset.Produce guidelines to ensure common and coherent understanding and employment of MBSE methodology.Own and manage requirements to ensure coherence with MBSE approach and to support / inform design teams.Ensure modelling follows a unified process and is generated with suitable quality to support required DAL targets .Establish appropriate modelling methods to be utilised for airborne communication systems.Providing technical leadership and mentoring in MBSE techniques, requirements, and system analysis.Coordinate technical outputs from multiple internal stakeholders (e.g. subsystem maturity assessments, subsystem technical route maps).Provide technical assessment and advice to other technical leads within the communications team.Develop reports and presentations for delivery to customers and industry partners.Travel within the UK to meet with our customers and industry partners.
RequirementsExpertise with MBSE / architecture tools, languages, and frameworks.Extensive knowledge of working across the full systems engineering lifecycle.Capable of presenting a formal design reviews and establishing evidence for certification.Formal requirements capture, definition, and management methods within an MBSE framework, using DOORS.Substantial systems architecture design and requirements verification and validation.Extensive use of modelling languages (e.g. SysML) and model-based analysis methodologies.Understanding of airborne communications systems and their associated sub-systems.Ability to cope with a high degree of design complexity and significant levels of uncertainty.Minimum of undergraduate degree in engineering, mathematics, or physics.Team leadership and/or mentoring of junior personnel.Working with and influencing stakeholders (internal and external).Strong aptitude for problem-solving and decision-making.Excellent written and verbal presentation ability.
