DevOps Engineer x2 - Worthing - up to £70kpa DOE

My client, a global provider of technology-enabled services who support businesses operate more effectively and connect people with their financial future, are currently looking to expand their IT department with two DevOps engineers.

As the DevOps Engineer, you will join the team as they continue their journey to Agile and Lean ways of working. Their target is to hit a 100% automated release pipeline with on demand Continuous Delivery. As a DevOps engineer, you'll be working side-by-side with Scrum teams ensuring a smooth, rapid flow of software to their customers, not only provisioning environments but also configuring them and deploying solutions to their customers and optimising that pipeline through automation.

Core Duties/Responsibilities
*Collaborate as part of a small DevOps community with Scrum teams to optimise the product delivery pipeline to our customers.
*Record and optimise the key metrics of lead time, deployment frequency, mean time to restore (MTTR) and change fail percentage.
*Bring your energy to learning, sharing and evolving our knowledge and capabilities in DevOps to create a rapid, seamless application delivery pipeline.
*Help us on our journey of automating everything.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
*Strong commercial experience of managing complex multi-tier enterprise infrastructure environments on the .net stack (preferably Core).
*Strong ARM and DSC knowledge for provisioning Azure infrastructure (we use Azure Service Fabric, Azure Service Bus, Web Apps, Azure Functions, Log Analytics, App Insights, Key Vault for example and the list is constantly growing).
*Configuration of firewalls, load balancers and other network equipment.
*In-depth configuration management, automation and scripting skills especially PowerShell.
*In-depth knowledge of platform and application automated deployment technologies.
*Exposure to iterative/agile development methodologies (SCRUM, XP).
*Exposure to continuous integration and build tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure DevOps or similar).
*Use of source code version control (e.g. git).
*System administration skills with a bias toward Windows system administration.

*Good database knowledge and SQL skills (we use SQL Server and Mongo).
*Understanding of software and infrastructure architecture including performance tuning applications, infrastructure and databases.
*Configuration of firewalls, load balancers and other network equipment.
*Software development experience.
*Good understanding of infrastructure and application security including Cross Site Scripting attacks and SQL injection attacks and the use of a WAF. Understanding of OWASP objectives and requirements.
*Experience with planning for Disaster Recovery.
