Linux Support Engineer / DevOps Remote to £80k
Linux Support Engineer / DevOps (Ubuntu Python C Java Go TCP/IP Cloud). Would you like to take on a challenging role that involves complex problem solving using the latest technologies? You'll be able to work remotely from anywhere in Europe and be prepared for global travel approximately four times a year.
As a Linux Support Engineer / DevOps at this global Cloud / IoT technology consultancy you will support customers, providing 3rd line technical support on Linux OS. Most of the solutions are based on OpenStack, Kubernetes and Ubuntu and you'll gain exposure and learn about LXD, Snaps, MAAS and Juju. On a daily basis you'll prioritise the ticket queue, dive deep into technical issues ensuring satisfactory resolution and learn about new products and technologies.
Requirements:
Software development background; ability to code with at least one of the following: Python, C, Go, Java
Indepth knowledge of Linux OS with experience of troubleshooting
Good knowledge of networking, TCP/IP
Excellent English language skills, customer focussed
Genuine passion or technology, continually learning and developing your skills
Computer Science degree
Ability to work remotely (from anywhere in Europe) and travel globally up to four times a year
