Azure Cloud Design Lead

My nationally recognised client, known for being a great organisation to work for is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Design Lead to join their growing IT team at their head office in Warwickshire.

The Cloud Design Lead will drive the adoption of Azure across Group IT through the application of deep, hands-on architectural expertise and guidance.

Key responsibilities:

*Consult, advise, challenge and provide deep architectural expertise and guidance to senior business stakeholders on Azure to support and drive cloud adoption.

*Provide leadership and management to a growing team of Cloud SME's ensuring that teams' and individuals' roles are clearly defined and everyone knows what is expected of them and performs to the required standards.

*Create, document and deliver low level designs for solutions requiring Public Cloud services, ensuring designs are end to end, fit for purpose and in line with established standards and frameworks.

*Develop, create and input to Public Cloud key design decisions to aid agile development.

*Oversee and guide the development, deployment and continual improvement of Public Cloud infrastructure capabilities through use of Infrastructure as Code and DevOps tool chains.

*Assist in the creation of high level Public Cloud architectural solutions and blueprints including design governance submissions relating to Public Cloud components.

*Provide 3rd/4th line operational support of projects consuming Public Cloud services including acceptance into service activities to handover new developments into support.

*Serve on project, technology, and solution review boards to ensure all Public Cloud documentation and designs are in line with current internal standards, roadmaps, and frameworks.

Key skills and experience:

*Proven track record of successfully designing Microsoft Azure solutions with a strong background in Azure and Office 365 Services and Toolsets.

*Demonstrable experience of working in DevOps / Agile teams with experience of DevOps tooling and implementing DevOps Tool Chains.

*Strong understanding of and experience in delivering world class operational support and incident resolution in both on premise and Cloud based environments.

*Effective internal and external, including third party supplier, stakeholder management skills.

*Ability to effectively plan and deliver complex activities.

*Ability to troubleshoot complex, technical solutions within a Hybrid Cloud Environment.
