A global SME origination is currently looking for someone to join their team as an IT Manager. The IT Manager will manage the day-to-day operations for the IT department, providing leadership and support to a small IT Support team in the UK and US whilst also providing an efficient service and support to the wider business. We require the IT manager to showcase there managerial skills but maintain there hands on experience shown throughout there career. Alongside this we also require the IT Manager to have a handle on the general IT security of the client.

Role and Responsibilities:

Responsible for assigned services and activities of the Information Technology Department including designing, implementing, and administering company-wide.

*Demonstrate infrastructure architecture, support, development and governance capabilities

*Document configurations, instructional procedures, change management records, performance

*Identify and act on opportunities to improve and update software and systems

*Develop and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation

*Designing training programs and workshops for staff

*Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for IT

Infrastructure and Support Delivery:

*Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages

*Design, configure and maintain data centre network infrastructure systems

*Deliver production IT services without disruption to business

*Deliver server management, network and security management and messaging/collaboration platforms to meet SLA targets

*Ensure integrity and security of the network and server estate, in line with standards and policies

Qualifications and Experience:

*Hands on experience with ERP systems, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft operating systems, computer networks, network administration, network installation.

*Good working knowledge of IT security

*Good knowledge of Linux operating systems

*Analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications

*Significant technical knowledge including server, network and data infrastructure, and security

*Cyber Security - CISSP/CISA/CIW Web security

*VMware Certified Professional - VCP6

*Microsoft professional certified - such as MCSE

*Cisco certified - CCNA/CCNP/COMPTIA

*ITIL Service Management qualified (Foundation)

Key Skills:

*Active Directory design, administration and maintenance (Group Policy, Login Scripts, FSMO)

*Strong knowledge of network management and design incl. WAN, LAN, DNS/WINS/DHCP

*Highly skilled in virtualisation technologies

*Knowledge and experience of Storage Area Networks (SAN)

*Knowledge of infrastructure related technologies
