EllisKnight are partnered exclusively with a rapidly growing ICT company based in their new offices in Stoke-On-Trent to recruit an experienced IT Project Manager. The company is growing immensely as they are becoming key players in the Defence and Public Sector industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join their innovative Technical team and be in a position to play a key role in the development of various profitable solutions.

The IT Project Manager will report directly to the Head of Business Services and will be responsible for leading the transition of managed services through the Project Management Office, Design & Delivery and Field Engineering Teams.

Responsibilities:

Transition DeliveryManage the successful delivery of all managed service contracts from transition into Live Service.Ensure quality is at the heart of all activities across Transition Delivery ensuring delivery is predictable, reliable and repeatable.Provide engineering oversight of the technical decision-making process to ensure conceptual designs are realized into cost effective and user-friendly deployments.Maintain high level control and awareness of Project Management activities across the Supervise, support, train and mentor all staff across the Transition Delivery team, developing an ethos of continuous improvement and learning across the team.Business GrowthContribute to continuous improvement across the business, working with the Senior Management team to drive service excellence and business success.Contribute to the recruitment, retainment and management of employees which reflects the company's values and contributes to its long-term success.QualificationsDemonstratable Project management experience, preferably certified through a recognised governing body but on the job experience essential.Understanding & working experience of key technologies: Networking (Switching, Routing etc)Virtualisation (Operating Systems, Servers, Desktop etc)Security (VPNs, RMADS and SyOps)Applications & Services (Active Directory, WSUS etc)System Monitoring (JIRA, Confluence, Solarwinds etc)QualitiesBe passionate about successfully delivering projects/services under their responsibility.A commitment to continual personal & professional development.Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.Due to the nature of the business the successful candidate will have or be able to obtain the appropriate security clearance.
