Junior C++ Software Engineer / C++ Developer (Linux Windows Front Office). Are you a bright, ambitious C++ Developer looking for an opportunity to learn and develop your skills? You could be joining a financial market maker / Hedge Fund based in the City and enjoying a range of perks including flexible working and an annual ski trip.

You'll join a small, dedicated technology team working directly with Front Office staff (traders, strategists) to support and maintain the real-time trading environment that is heavily customised with trading algorithms, real-time Risk applications and various custom built trading tools. You will also design and develop new features and enhancement and continually seek to make system improvements.

This Junior C++ Software Engineer role will allow you to grow both your business knowledge and technical skills, you'll receive training on TBricks (an open API product) and get involved in all aspects of building trading applications including, strategy development, liquidity and colocation as well as connectivity.

Requirements:

Degree educated, Computer Science / Mathematics preferred

Commercial C++ development skills on Linux or Windows

Thorough understanding of Computing fundamentals such as Object Orientated Programming, Algorithm development

Advanced analysis and problem solving abilities

Aptitude and desire to work in the finance industry and learn about financial trading applications (able to demonstrate a personal interest / experience)

Excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising with Front Office users in a dynamic environment

Nice to haves: scripting skills with Python, Perl or Ruby; CI/CD, Jenkins
