Team Leader - Fibre Planning Team FTTP - ISP, Fibre Optic, Broadband Media, Networks & TelecomsTeam Supervision, Team Leading, FTTP, ISP, Fibre Optic, Broadband Networks & Telecoms, GPON, Wi-Fi, Network Protocols, Network Planning, Network Design and Fibre Mapping.London, West End - £50,000 to £60,000 + BenefitsThis dynamic and growing network services provider are seeking a professional, challenge orientated and focused Fibre Team Leader for their Fibre Network Planning Team to be based at their HQ in London.Managing a Team of 8 x Fibre Planners based at the HQ, you will be required to offer a mix of technical (Fibre Planning) experience as well as the leading and management of your Fibre Network Planning Team.Day to day / week to week needs:You will need to motivate, uplift and challenge your team.You will need to offer advice, guidance and mentor your team.You will need to offer technical input to your team.You will delegate work and projects across your team.You will need to adjust your resource when dealing with issues and challenges.You will need to adjust your resource to work together when faced with critical deadlinesYou will need to supervise and be the technical lead for your team.You will need to be proactive and precise with the completion of project documentation.Strong communication skills are a must.The high personal drive to deliver results to set Team KPI'sBefore Applying! - Be aware of these key Initial points:In this role your team will be responsible for conducting detailed Fibre Optic Network Mapping to meet Design Specifications for Civilian and Fibre Builds for Customer (Private & Corporate) Installations.Team activities will be planning and coordinating changes to the network to ensure that maintenance, upgrades and ensuring expansion work is conducted in accordance with the design methodologyYou will require professional communication skills to deal with your team, internal and external stakeholdersFull awareness of all Health & Safety issues and requirements for site-based projectsAlthough there is a solid level of technical experience required, this role also needs functional expertise as your responsibilities will include:Strong multitasking & problem-solving abilities.Strong planning, organising and prioritising abilities.Flexible to cope with change, be proactive and adapt quickly to a developing type of service deliveryWith a solid background in Telecoms, the experience you have gained will need to include: Proven experience of FTTP/FTTC build activitiesProven experience of GPON (ITU-T G984)GIS/CAD experience and SLD CreationExperience of managing projects and tasks, guiding and driving all stake holders as necessaryKnowledge of Fibre Types / Modes, Connector Types, Fibre Splicing, Termination Principles and PracticesHave Access Network Fibre Planning experience within the Telecoms arenaA proven track record of planning successful projectsThe ability to draw together different technical disciplinesAble to communicate with people across multiple locations and at different levelsPrevious experience with large network and telecoms carriers such as BT Openreach, Virgin Media will be advantageousTake this opportunity to rise above your peers and secure a role to elevate your career and contact Experis IT today!
