Description The Strategy and Integration team exists to ensure a robust IT strategy alignswith strategic business requirements across Global Functions IT. Theseintegrate both the individual business needs of the Business IT (BIT) andcapabilities of IT Engineering (ITENG) and link to other parts of the IT functionsuch as Operate. The strategy & Integration analyst will provide support to GFIT's Strategy and Integration team, assisting the individual members with theiractivities and report into the GF IT Strategy and Integration manager who willbe the main sponsor of the work undertaken by the Analyst. The workactivities performed are diverse, varying from analytical skills to interpret datafor executive reporting purposes, to being innovative and detail-orientedwhen problem solving, to professionally communicating and presenting tasksperformed as part of one-off pieces of work, or a regular activity. For some ofthese activities, sole responsibility for work is taken by the Analyst. This islikely to be on a regular repeated activity. Activities will involve dependencieson work done or information provided by others. The Analyst will need todefine these dependencies, what is required from others, and gain theircommitment to get that work or information delivered. As part of theseactivities, interaction with teams and stakeholders across Global Functionsand beyond will be necessary. Some of the stakeholders are senior and go upto the level of VP & CIO. The Analyst will initiate and schedule this interactionin a timely manner in order to accomplish the work activities promptly andexecute it efficiently and effectively to minimise demands on the time ofothers. Dimensions Work across all the lines of business with the GF IT organisation andpossibility of interacting with and/or presenting to senior leaders likethe VP & CIO GF IT & IRM;The scope of the work includes all aspects of organisational strategyfor GF IT (e.g. organisational capabilities, processes, governance) andIT technology strategy for the Functions: HR & Corporate, Finance &Legal. Organisation: you will be reporting to the Global Functions IT Strategy andIntegration Manager Principal Accountabilities: Summarise in 5-7 statements the principal resultsexpected from the job:Responsible for building awareness and the embedding the core ITstrategies of Global Functions IT and Group IT;Responsible for conducting strategic analysis of the Global FunctionsIT operating model and propose improvements in organisationalEfficiency;Will play a key role in the development of GFIT 'Point C' strategiesacross all portfolios ensuring integration of the various IT teams;The role will contribute and support the future embedding of ournew IT operating model and transition to a Product line;Responsible for driving ad-hoc strategic challenges that are initiatedby the LT;Coordinate GF IT LT dashboard and KPI information collection andinterpretation. Ensure KPI data and analysis are available whenrequired;Contribute to data acquisition and analysis of benchmarks anddashboards;Analysing internal (e.g. portfolio comparisons) and external (e.g. FullSpend Benchmark) data and benchmarks;Support managers for:GF portfolio analysis for Executive Steering Committee andExecutive Committee meetings b. Coordination of theOperational Plan execution;Prepare investment and strategic sections of Business Boardmeeting materials d. Contribute to GF IT strategic initiativeswith underlying analysis and preparation of discussionmaterials.Management and delivery of projects within the Strategy &Integration team and Global Functions IT Organisation. Technical Skills and experienceThe ability to analyse issues and propose resolutions is necessary;The Analyst needs to be capable of working independently to agreedDeadlines;Given a desired outcome, the Analyst must be capable of making their owndecisions to achieve that outcome;The ability to prioritise many activities and deal with many stakeholderssimultaneously is important;Communication skills are important, as the team engages with severalstakeholder groups across the world;Project Management (Proven track record in project delivery;Organisation consultancy. Soft Skills and experienceThe Strategy and Integration team deals with senior stakeholders. TheAnalyst must be comfortable engaging colleagues up to letter category (LC)Level;The Strategy and Integration team respond to many short-term queries aswell as working on longer term assignments. There will be occasions whenworking extra hours is necessary in order to meet deadlines;Typically, several different tasks are underway at once, being delivered fordifferent people with important deadlines, which will all need to be met.
