You will take ownership of onsite technical issues within a 2nd/3rd line capacity as well as monitoring systems and engaging in project work in other UK and European sites.Client DetailsMy client is an International Manufacturing organisation who are looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join them on a permanent basis on their North Bristol site.Description To ensure that the desktop/server environment and its associated technologies remain current, supported, highly available, operate efficiently, perform within agreed targets and deliver a secure platform.To work and liaise within the operations teams and the wider technical community. Where appropriate, to work on the implementation and transition to the business as usual environment of new desktop software, server, network and hardware technologies.Active Directory AdministrationWindows Server estate management - 2003-2016Hyper-V and VMWare AdministrationCisco network support (WAN and LAN connectivity)Application packaging and deploymentProfilePrevious experience in a 2nd/3rd Line Technical Support positionTechnical knowledge of Windows Server Management, Active Directory Administration, Hyper-V or VMware virtualisation, Cisco networking (advantageous). Strong communication skills and ability to liaise at all levels of businessStrong stakeholder managementMultisite experience - ideally in an Industrial/Manufacturing backgroundWillingness to learn new skills and focus on continuous improvement of the IT function Job Offer£30,000-£32,000 + additional benefits
