The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills and experience of engaging with Senior Business and Technical Mangers to support and influence the business towards adopting 'Industry Best Practice Business Architecture'. The Candidates need experience of a modelling language such as BPMN and experience of using a Case tool to maintain Business Architecture deliverables. DIS operates a flexible delivery model working with fulltime permanent staff, temporary contract staff and external partners and organisations.

The role will be responsible for delivering a number of key outcomes which include:

- Establish and implement actionable 'Industry Best Practice' Business Architecture & models

- Evaluation, Development and execution of Business strategies, Business cases and Business Roadmaps

- Capture the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.

- Business Solution design, Business Analysis and implementation assurance as part of a diverse range of programmes and projects

- Working with a range of stakeholders to develop and promote principles, standards and patterns

- Identify relevant opportunities for Innovation and change

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

- Drives and facilitates the right discussions with business leaders to identify business capabilities in relation to current and future business objectives

- Work with multiple capability and functional teams to gather and document the structure of the client's business and technology landscape.

- Develop, build, manage, enhance business capability model along maturity / optimization framework to drive enablement of the longer-term roadmaps.

- Partner in the strategic planning process by providing input to the scope definition of strategic initiatives leveraging capabilities, creating capability Heatmaps to provide visibility to impacts, dependencies, overlaps and opportunities.

Key Deliverables include (but not limited to):

- Capability Model, Capability Heatmaps, Capability Maturity Assessments, Capability Impact Assessments, Capability Health Assessments & Capability Roadmaps

- Works closely with the Enterprise Architect and Business leaders to develop domain roadmaps.

- Works closely with Solution/technical architects to deliver business architecture artefacts needed for End to End Architecture & Solution Architecture Approach deliverables.

- Presents recommendations and solutions clearly and concisely and is able to focus on key points to portray the intended message or purpose.

- Advocate and drive adoption of "best practices" to ensure standardization of business architecture outputs across the enterprise.

- Takes an active role in enterprise portfolio investment strategies by assessing and rationalizing proposed enterprise capabilities.

- Business thinking and highly strategic in order to define practical solutions that align with corporate strategy.

- Effectively manage priorities, deliverables and timelines with little need for escalation.
