Job PurposeTo own and operate Service Asset & Configuration Management processes, maintaining information about Configuration Items and their relationships in an accurate and timely fashion in order to assist other processes such as Incident, Change and Problem Management.Key Responsibilities:

- Implement the configuration management policy and standards- Own the configuration management processes and manage their operation, ensuring that process amendments are properly approved and communicated- Configuration Identification

- Evaluate existing configuration management sources and enhance under CSI

- Agree scope of the configuration management processes, function, the items that are to be controlled, and the information that is to be recorded

- Agree CIs to be uniquely identified with naming conventions

- Plan population of, manage and maintain the CMS- Configuration Control

- Develop and maintain configuration management standards, plans and procedures

- Propose/agree interfaces with key CI stakeholders including incident, change, problem, asset and supplier management- Status Accounting

- Ensure changes in CI status are reflected accurately and in a timely fashion

- Collaborate with relevant process and system owners to ensure potential CI status changes are captured efficiently and effectively- Configuration Verification and Audit

- Continual review of compliance with identification standards

- Ensure maintained CMS matches live environment- Deliver management reporting against defined and agreed KPIs.Knowledge

ITIL 3 or 4 Foundation

ITIL Intermediate Module - Service TransitionExperience

2+ years in ITIL Change, Release, Configuration Management

2+ years in an ITIL Configuration Management role;

2+ years in a service provider environment
