Role: Integration Test & Trial EngineerLocation: CorshamDuration: Initially until 31/03/19 - likely to extendRate: up to £500/daySecurity Clearance: SC/DV This role is for an Integration Test and Trial Engineer (IT&T) who is part of a team responsible for various testing activities for a Military System.Carries out general testing activities on application or infrastructure projects, programs or services to supply which enables stakeholders to make informed decisions around progress to the next development stage or release.Understands a given requirement and can create use cases, design test cases, create test scripts and establish associated data in response to that requirement. Execution of test cases; recording and analysing results to provide reports on test activities and results to identify test incidents and risks and assisting in incident resolution.Can work independently or as a member of a team with limited supervision under the direction of a Test Manager. Key Accountabilities Creation of test cases and identifies test data in response to defined and/or derived requirements.Design analysis and derivation of requirementsExecution of test cases and recording of associated results in accordance with test plan(s).Test results checking and reporting.Test Incident logging and support.Collection of testing related measurements and metrics.Support the continuous improvement of test process and activities.Key Performance IndicatorsProduces test cases that address clearly defined requirements.Produces test documents that are precise, clear and unambiguous.Ensures that all test activities are logged and that an up to date audit trail is available.Works in an organized and methodical way.Education / ExperienceMandatoryCertified Testing background (ISEB/ISTQB) with a minimum of 5 years' experienceMoD Project ExperienceFamiliarisation with either Land or Maritime Deployed SystemsFamiliarisation in Microsoft and Linux environments; Architecture, Security, and ServicesSC/DV ClearanceSelf-motivated demonstrating commitment, rigour, flexibility and integrity.Team player with a positive outlook.DesirableITIL V3.SAFe or Agile Foundation.A good understanding of test and integration of Military Enterprise Deployed Systems, i.e.Defence Information Infrastructure (DII)MagpieBCIPFalconSkynetRLI and SLI operationA sound understanding of MOTS applications and infrastructures, Inc. Networks and System Management.Experience within both sequential and iterative (SAFe) environmentsExperience in development toolsets; JIRA, Test Rails, BITBucket, Jenkins, Wireshark, and standard Microsoft Office tooling.
