Are you a multi-skilled Software Engineer possessing a wide range of technical skills and capabilities? With a focus on Java, we need you to incrementally build, develop and deliver quality working software for our Digital Products.

Will you help us revolutionise the digital experience? We will challenge conventions, continuously improve & innovate to deliver business values for Direct Line Group.

Who you'll be working with:

This is a key role sitting within our creative Digital Department, we have a start-up attitude and embrace the true scaled agile development processes.

What you'll be doing:

Provide extensive knowledge and expertise with Java coding language

Implement REST APIs with your practical experience within AWS and event sourcing system

Using your expertise of SQL and NoSQL document storage system e.g. redis and elastic search

You will use Git source control system such as GitHub and/or Bitbucket

Desire to automate and implement CI/CD pipeline with TDD/BDD

Advise and guide partners to ensure the proposed solution fits with the overall system design principles ensuring Design goals - Performance, Modularity, Reliability, Maintainability, Reusability and Accessibility - are met.

Facilitate technical decisions; incorporate feedback and emergent patterns from the team back in to the overall design and identify, highlight and lead resolution of potential technical risk / issues.
