Our client is a specialist provider of data centre, cloud, connectivity and voice solutions. With their own UK data centres, national MPLS network and many strong USPs, their portfolio includes colocation, cloud, connectivity, continuity and collaboration solutions.
They are now looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect to act as a senior technical resource and support customers looking to adopt Azure.
As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will:
- Leverage the Cloud Adoption Framework to ensure customers drive value from their Azure journey
- Create costed design and migration plans for customer looking to migrate to Azure
- Carry out migration assessments for customers
- Deliver cloud workshops to customers
- Lead the development of their Azure governance services
- Provide monthly reporting to customers
- Chair cloud governance meetings to address security, identity, costs management and resource consistency opportunities
To be considered as a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will need experience of the following:
- Architecting, configuring and supporting highly available applications within Microsoft Azure
- Working with Azure policies, blueprints and ARM templates
- Configuration and orchestration (e.g. ARM, Terraform, Ansible and Azure DevOps)
- Source control, ideally Git or Microsoft Team Foundation server
- Continuous integration and deployment pipelines
- Web and database technologies, such as IIS, Apache, .NET, .NET Core, NodeJS and MSSQL
- Scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash
Ideally, you will hold or be working towards the Azure Solutions Architect accreditation (AZ 300).
Other companies may call this role Azure Architect, Architect, Senior Azure Engineer, Senior Cloud Engineer, Technical Architect, Azure Cloud Architect, or Solutions Architect.
