The CMA works to promote competition for the benefit of consumers, both within and outside the UK. We are at an exciting phase of growth and now have staff in London, Edinburgh, Belfast and Cardiff. In order for cases to be managed efficiently and effectively across our four locations it is essential we are able to harness the benefits of Microsoft technologies and the Office 365 environment. This presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced SharePoint administrator to play a key supporting role, ensuring we have a cloud-based document management solution that meets our business requirements.

As a Senior Application Analyst, you will act as the applications expert, providing second/third line support for application incidents within the Sharepoint/Office 365 environment. This will involve working with application developers, support staff and external software vendors to troubleshoot site-specific performance issues, escalating to developers for software fixes or implementing improvements.

You will also be required to keep up to with the latest Microsoft Office 365 features, particularly SharePoint, and evaluate the impact on the organisation and propose business change to adjust to or exploit new features and updates for the benefit of the organisation.

To be successful in your application you must be able to evidence:

  • Experience with Office 365 tools and administering SharePoint Online
  • Experience of supporting SharePoint installations in an ITIL environment collaborating with IT colleagues to deliver services to end users within specified SLAs
  • Experience of case management or information management business solutions using a SharePoint platform and incorporating stakeholder management activities such as documenting requirements and user meetings
  • Experience of SharePoint Migration tools such as ShareGate or Metalogix
  • Experience of administering Office 365 tools such as Powerapps, Power BI, Forms, Flow
  • Experience of managing the sharing of documents/libraries in SharePoint Online with parties external to the organisation's network
