Senior IT Architect

My nationally recognised client, known for being a great place to work is looking for a Senior IT Architect to join their IT team in Warwickshire as they embark an exciting period on transformation.

The Senior IT Architect will help to develop strategic IT roadmaps, solutions and standards for specific IT architectural domains ensuring effective governance and control and the delivery of business requirements, whilst minimising IT risk and optimising the IT estate.

Key Responsibilities:

*Research, create, agree, communicate and maintain 3-5 year IT product and supplier roadmaps.

*Identify, evaluate and select technology, applications and service products in accordance with policies, procedures and standards.

*Develop, agree, control, maintain and govern effective delivery of IT architectural solution blue prints (both internally and externally produced), incorporating IT operating model, technology, applications, information and service.

*Develop, agree, control and maintain IT architectural standards and policies for product, technology, information and service.

*Manage the technology relationships with third party suppliers and contractors.

*Build and maintain relationships with programmes and projects, business managers and industry and professional bodies to ensure the effective delivery of objectives.

*Monitor and manage specific ITIL processes to ensure their effective operation and provide guidance.

*Assist with impact assessment of IT operational incidents and proposed IT Change to provide the subject matter expertise required to support effective decision making.

Key Skills and Experience required:

*Experience in a similar IT Architecture role helping to bring legacy applications and infrastructure up to date.

*Experience in playing a key role within an IT delivery function.

*Broad experience across all aspects of an IT Service.

*Working knowledge of all Architectural domains.

*Knowledge of Datacentres, Windows 7/10, Hyper Converged Architectures, Hyper-V, VMware, SQL, Oracle.

*Strong knowledge and experience of ITIL.

*Knowledge of architectural standards and methodologies e.g. TOGAF

*Experience of successfully working to tight deadlines.

*Excellent presentation and influencing skills.
