I am working closely with an organisation focusing on the Communications sector who are looking for a Developer with commercial experience using both C# and SQL.

Before I go any further, it is important to stress that this isn't a Web Developer role and you won't be building applications using ASP.NET MVC and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.

This role involves working on complex systems that handle large amounts of communication data so experience using database technology is crucial. All of their software is written in the latest version of C#.NET and there will be some web work using HTML and JavaScript but this position suits someone with a passion for the back end (I am aware as to how that both sounds and reads!).

They have some legacy systems that need maintenance so an understanding of VB.NET will also be advantageous. They also have a major cloud platform built in AWS, experience in cloud isn't a necessity but it would be an advantage! However, if you are keen to learn cloud technologies there will be loads of training involved!

They have an excellent culture and the office environment is relaxed and collaborative. You won't be micro-managed and you won't be expected to be in the office for 12 hours per day.

You will be given support and training and the role offers career progression in the form of a great progression plan!

In terms of specific technical knowledge, it is important that you are able to demonstrate commercial experience of the following:

* ASP.NET

* HTML

* CSS

* JavaScript

* JQuery

* XML
