What's the role?

As DevOps Engineer, you'll thrive on working smart, as you build environments for Agile projects, always on the lookout for opportunities and remaining continually curious as to why things happen.

Your responsibilities will be wide-ranging, from responding to and fixing issues of all sizes and prevent them from happening again, to working with subject matter experts to learn new skills and integrate them into team learnings. Other duties will include:

Developing alerts to improve our monitoring.
Co-ordinating incidents, including alerts to other engineering teams.
Writing and refining troubleshooting guides and documentation.

Requirements

What we need from you


We're keen to hear from men and women with DevOps Engineering experience, relevant expertise as a developer, a strong background in Linux as well as strong Kubernetes experience. Plus, we'd also hope to see as many of the following on your CV: Experience of Agile and/or DAD (Scrum & Kanban), plus experience using Docker and programming in Hashicorp Terraform, Bash, Python and Ansible. Strong experience of Kubernetes in building environments from scratch, preferably over PaaS. Exposure to Kops, Kubespray and Kubeadm is also advantageous An understanding of Microservice based Architecture. An ability to implement infrastructure as code. A strong understanding of web server application design. An understanding of application security and information security controls. Data Science platform experience, plus monitoring and logging platforms, will be an advantage. Knowledge of configuration management tools. Experience in Javascript development and mobile app development is also desirable.
