Role: Senior Developer

Location: Peterborough

Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum

C# / .NET / MVC / Agile / SQL Server / JQuery / CSS / TFS / JIRA / GIT / Azure / DevOps

Role Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be expected to build and support applications using .Net technologies and SQL Server under specified specification and time constraints. You will be required to interact with other departments within the company to understand and resolve issues effectively. You will have experience working in an Agile environment alongside fellow developers.

You will also be responsible for producing well structured, documented, and tested software and supporting applications by assisting customers and resolving errors with the software.

You will be:

*Designing and analysing software solutions

*Implementing computer systems and tracking any enhancements and/or developments

*Producing thorough specifications and writing program code

*Supporting integration testing when required

*Mentoring more junior members of the team and reviewing code

*Responsible for continuous support and maintenance of systems

*Delivering the development schedule high standard to meet budget and time requirements

You will have experience of:

*C#, ASP.Net, MVC

*MS Sql Server (TSQL, Stored Procs, Functions)

*Jquery, CSS

*Developing, enhancing and supporting systems

*Software development using Microsoft technologies

*Entity Framework or similar ORM framework

*SOAP/REST web services

*Experience of using version control system, ideally TFS/GIT

*SOLID principles & Design patterns

*Working within Agile Scrum environment

*Azure DevOps/Jira including web services and service bus

QUALIFICATIONS:

*University Qualification in computer science or equivalent

*Microsoft certification

HOURS:

Core working hours 9.00am to 5.30pm (5:00 Friday) however a degree of flexibility is required in order to meet the demands of the business.

LOCATION:

The role is office based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
