Our telecoms client are currently looking for a Regulatory Counsel to come on board for an initial 9-12 month contract based in London,
Role: Regulatory Counsel
Duration: 9-12 Month Contract
Daily rates: Open rate
Location: London
Key Tasks
* Maintenance of all regulatory licences and registrations supporting the clients network, data centres and collocation sites and all communications services provided throughout the region to ensure that the company complies with all relevant regulatory obligations.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory reports to be filed with the authorities by working with Finance, Product, Network Security and other departments as required in the preparation of relevant submissions. Assessment and follow up until payment of regulatory fees imposed by national telecommunication authorities.
* Provide regulatory advice to support expansion plans in new markets, by conducting independent desktop research on regulatory and political environment, licence application requirements, regulatory contributions and costs, foreign investment aspects, data protection, legal interception, local content requirements, etc, and advise expansion team on main risks and opportunities.
- The successful candidate will ideally have had previous experience of working in a regulatory field in the telecommunications sector.
- It is essential that the successful candidate displays outstanding written and verbal communication skills, is able to develop strong working relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels of seniority and will thrive on working within a team
