Java Developer / Back End Software Engineer (Java 8 Spring AWS Data). Would you like to make an impact and advance your career? As a senior Java Developer / Back End Software Engineer you will focus on the payments platform that enables a full range of payments processing including card payments, BACs, Mobile, CHAPS and an expanding range of international payment standards.

You'll remain hands-on producing both detailed technical work and high level architectural design; you'll evangelise best practice and utilise your experience with cutting edge technologies and distributed, scalable systems to steer the technical direction of the team. The platform is built in Java on AWS infrastructure with AWS services and Open Source frameworks.

Requirements:

Indepth knowledge of core Java and Spring frameworks (SpringBoot, Spring Security)

Experience with secure payments platforms

Strong knowledge of AWS

Experience in helping leading development life cycle process, best practices and operating distributed cloud-based microservices; keen to take on a technical leadership role

Database experience e.g. SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL

Ideally you will have experience with Kafka, Hadoop, Spark or other Big Data streaming echnologies

Familiar with DevOps environments / Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)

Excellent communication skills; collaborative and personable

As a Java Developer / Back End Software Engineer you will earn a competitive salary (to £120k) plus stock options.
