Assistant Quantity SurveyorAssistant Quantity Surveyor | North West London | Residential Developer This company build outstanding new homes and neighbourhoods of lasting quality and are involved with a range of developments from iconic mixed-use developments with values exceeding £1 billion to smaller bespoke residential schemes.This company have a brand-new Assistant Quantity Surveyor requirement which will see the successful candidate initially based out on site in North West London working on a residential development which will be constructing over 1500 units over three phases. The overall development will consist of town houses, high and low rise apartments, a school, shops, commercial space and community facilities.Phase one has just kicked off and this will be an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable exposure working on a project from cradle to grave with plenty of opportunity to progress into a more senior role. Responsibilities for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor position: In short, the successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be reporting directly to the Senior QS on site and will focus on developing their procurement skills and construction knowledge to support the commercial department to facilitate the cost-effective delivery and completion of this development and future developments.Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:Preparing trade scope and works and selected tender list for approvalHolding and taking minutes of Subcontract Post-Tender and Pre-Order Meetings.Preparing final account with subcontractorsAssisting with Surveyors' monthly cost reportsAssisting Project team with financial implications of site progress decisionsScheduling of directly procured materials to assist buying departmentAttending Design Team Meetings as required Requirements for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor position: Must have a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or a relevant degree.Must have at least 1+ years UK experience working as an Assistant Quantity SurveyorExperience working on new build projects with exposure to JCT form of contract.Previous experience working for a residential developer or main contractorExperience working on a new build residential projects will be advantageousGood organisational skills Remuneration for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor position: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum.Car allowanceHealthcare benefits.Discretionary performance related bonusPension scheme.
