PIPING ENGINEER Location: WarringtonRates: £39.62 Ltd or £30.01 p/h PAYEDuration: 6 months Preferably degree qualified or HNC as a minimum, with previous technical and nuclear experience.Are you a Piping Engineer who understands key piping design parameters e.g. span theory, insulation requirements, trace heating requirements, pipe stress analysis and how to avoid pipe stressing?Do you have good, working knowledge of manufacturing tolerances of pipes and pipe supports (including allowances for insulation etc.) and the space requirements for installation including the effects of civil tolerances and general mechanical tolerances?Do you understand international piping/vessel standards e.g. ISO DIN, ASME, ASTM?Can you provide design solutions for the nuclear industry and coordinate the production of- Piping General Arrangement Drawings.Piping Isometric Drawings.Pipe Support Detail Fabrication Drawings.Pipe Support Location Drawings.Vessel Fabrication Drawings.Functional Specifications/ Functional Requirements Documents.Technical Reports and Studies.Design Justification Reports.Data Sheets.Working knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D (Autodesk).Understands and can manage the production of P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) or EFD (Engineering Flow Diagrams).Experience working from EFDs to develop process panel layouts working with Argon, Nitrogen gas, Safety mech's, ATEX, DJRs.Manage the production of space management drawings and general arrangement drawings of mechanical equipment that interfaces with pipework.Has presented/chaired at Designers Risk Assessments / Design Reviews and ideally in HAZOP studies.Understands the requirements of PSSR (Pressure Systems Safety Regulations), PER (Pressure Equipment Regulations).and other associated standards.
