Junior IT Security Analyst

My client, a nationally recognised and rapidly growing organisation is looking for a passionate Graduate / Junior IT Security Analyst to join their Risk and Security team at their head office in Coventry.

The successful candidates will learn to become an expert in supporting risk, compliance, audit and operational activities as well as supporting security metrics production and pen test process.

With support, you'll develop your experience in the following areas:

*Supporting ISO 27001 ISMS - actions in aligning to the standard for example, producing reports, maintaining registers, will need to understand the standard or be willing to learn and be able to apply the standard within the business.

*Supporting the on-going security plan by producing reports.

*Supporting risk analysis and conducting risk workshops.

*Regular reporting on security, governance risk and compliance.

*Raising awareness of security into "business as usual" processes, as well as implementing and running periodic controls assurance programmes; with knowledge of IT security practices to be able to have key conversation with internal stakeholders.

*Maintenance of the risk registers.

*Supporting Internal and External Auditors during security audits - providing evidence when require, walking through process depending on the scope of the audit.

*Supporting vulnerability and pen testing scoping and corrective activities. Liaising with suppliers to action the findings from the vulnerability and tests report, analysing output to produce summary and progress chasing.

*Supporting forensic investigations as required to support controls environment, maintain chain of evidence and liaising with 3rd party suppliers to interrupt and producing a summary report to the function, following taking phonemic imaging from machine.

*Providing reporting on all activities and progress - providing specialist report from complex data provided, which would involve interpreting and summarising data for executive reports.

You'll possess the following skills, experience and attributes:

*Ideally, you will already have a cyber related degree or have had previous experience working in IT and are looking for a career move into Risk and Cyber Security.

*Knowledge of ISMS.

*Knowledge of security principles and practices.

*Knowledge of digital forensic activities.

*Be a keen team player.

*Possess excellent communication skills - able to work effectively with stakeholders both internally and externally to the business.
