Linux Architect - (Linux Scripting, Red hat, Physical Servers, Design) - Basingstoke - 3-6 months Our client, a market leading multi-national technology company are looking for a Linux Architect, to join them on a customer project based in Basingstoke. The assignment is an initial 3 month contract and can offer a competitive daily rate. Role Overview:The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out detailed design and building of Red Hat Linux VMs and Physical servers, including the creation of Gold Builds and hardening servers.A major aspect of this role will involve having a detailed understanding of Linux products including the following; Scripting, Satellite Server, Ansible tower, Bit Bucket and Docker.As the role will be supporting a Public Sector customer some travel to customer sites around the UK may be expected over the duration of the assignment. Key Skills for this role:Candidates should be able to demonstrate prior experience of prior experience of infrastructure customer solution architect for large and complex solutions.You should also be able to provide evidence of regular contributions to customer forums, conferences and professional bodies.You will be able to demonstrate a contribution to the definition of customer IT architecture, including new solutions via using company prescribed methodologies.A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered. Desirable skills:The client is interested in speaking with Candidates who can demonstrate experience of the following:- Good verbal communication skills- Good understanding of full development and implementation life-cycle including integration, test and validation.- Ability to write coherent, concise and readable technical documentation.- Show detailed experience of technology design and implementation policies and practices.
