Job Title: AWS DevOps ArchitectLocation: BuckinghamshireStart Date: ASAPDuration: 6 months+ Must Have: Strong experience designing, leading and coaching others on AWS best practices, solutions and services, to include significant hands-on experienceDemonstrate a strong understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework to validate solution/architectureStrong understanding of different architectural designs for scaling a large multi-tier applicationStrong understanding of core AWS services and AWS architecture best practicesExperience in building AWS Landing Zone architectureMust have strong experience in architecting and migrating large scale applications to AWS, as well as Disaster Recovery solutionsMust have strong experience in implementing CI/CD pipelinesMust have strong xperience in automating infrastructure build on AWSVery good Experience with AWSVPC/Route53/Security/S3/EC2/IAM/Networking/AMI/billing/Account management/Cloudfront/RDS/EBS/tagging/EKS/CodePipelineExperience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Splunk, Data Dog, container health management tools and cost management tools like CloudabilityStrong hands-on experience with CloudFormation, Chef, PuppetIn-depth knowledge of at least one high-level programming languageAWS DevOps and Certified Solutions Architect - Professional is preferred BASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of software engineering experience5+ years of DevOps experienceExperience in implementing security and governance on AWSExperience with application discovery and migration wave planningExperience driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigationHands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or current hands on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experienceExperience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies requiredIntegration of cloud services with on premise technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle (on-prem and on EC2), HP, SAP etc.Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)Ability to travel to client locations when needed PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with AWS Engagement Delivery FrameworkStrong track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environmentsLeading highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deploymentsDemonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challengesStrong track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environmentsConfiguration management using CloudFormation, Chef & PuppetStrong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environmentDemonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challengesUnderstanding of core AWS services, uses, and architecture best practicesProficienct in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using AWSAbility to use the AWS service APIs, AWS CLI, and SDKs to write applicationsUnderstanding of application lifecycle managementCreate and use CI/CD pipelines to deploy applications on AWSAbility to apply a basic understand of cloud-native applications to write codeFamiliar with software development methodologies (Agile, Lean etc.)
